About

Blogging is new to me, and I am excited to learn how to keep it professional and to learn the many uses of a blog.  However, I am having a tough time filling in this about me page.  While I know I have many great qualities, how does one express them and not sound over the top?

I have worked as  a full-time Customer Service Representative at Fifth Third Bank for just over three years.  I also am a Senior at Davenport University.  Only nine more classes and I will graduate with a Bachelors  in Business Management.  My GPA is 3.46, and I have been on the Dean’s List several times.  The balance between work and school can sometimes be tough; however, I see a light and the end of the tunnel and am excited to see what the future holds for me.

In my spare time, I love to do anything outdoors.  This summer I spent many weekends seeing what “Pure Michigan” is all about.  One of my career aspirations is to run a non-profit that will allow underprivileged children to share these same experiences.  My goal is to raise money so all children have the chance to enjoy a night or weekend of camping or just being outdoors.

There are many things I would consider important to me: career, family, friends, and most important the Gift of Life.  For those that do not know the Gift of Life is an organization that promotes organ, eye, and tissue donation.  September 12th marked the 6th anniversary for my kidney donation.  My Uncle, the recipient, is doing great and the experience changed us both.

It gave me drive, taught me never to take life for granted and that second chances should be enjoyed to the fullest.  While my dream is to finish school, my Uncle is living his dream. He is the stage manager for a major rock n roll band.

While my about me is a work in progress, I hope this allows you to get to know the “real” me.
